How is Port Forwarding Configured?

Sometimes it happens that we are unable to access the service properly with the installation of wifi routers. Especially for DC++ users may not be able to download or get the file list of users, here are some simple steps to solve your problem.

  1. Type the router's address in an Internet browser's address bar. (By default the router's address is 192.168.0.1). The Setup Wizard appears.
  2. Enter the router's user name and password.
  3. Under Advanced, click Port Forwarding on the left menu bar or in my case VIRTUAL SERVERS (depends upon your router)
  4. The services the router knows about are listed . If the service does not appear in the drop down box , add a service as show in the image
  5. Enter the IP address of your local server in the Server IP Address box.
  6. Click Apply changes.
  7. Click Logout to exit from router settings.
  8. you have DONE .
